Dog found near Grider Apartments wants owner back

2006-10-11 - Green River Animal Shelter - Photo By Mark Evans.
Green River Animal Shelter
wants correct owner to claim
dog found near Grider Apts.

We have another dog that must belong to someone. It is a female, 1 year old fox terrier or terrier mix.

She has black, brown and white. She has a collar on, good health and smells like she's had a bath. She has one other identifying criteria that we want to keep to ourselves to make sure we have the correct owner. She was found near Grider Apartments off KY 206.

-MARK EVANS, GREEN RIVER ANIMAL SHELTER, 455 Jim Blair Road (take Appleby Drive off KY 55 at Columbia Church of Nazarene; Jim Blair Road goes around Adair Youth Development Center), Columbia, KY. Phone 270-385-9655.

The Sinclair Report on trash pickup included, below. Court will meet after breakfast in November. No action taken on snowplow.

By Ed Waggener

The last Adair County Fiscal Court regular monthly meeting before the general election was a brief one, lasting only 19 sugary sweet minutes, with nary a harsh word, nary a controversy, nary a negative vote from any of the boys. The November general election is nigh.

But Judge Vaughan did keep it interesting. An mystery item entitled "Permission to Sign Necessary Papers for School," the judge revealed part of the mystery. "We have to take action," he said, "to sign necessary papers concerning the transfer of property for the school system." The property transfers involved the sale of the three community schools, at Knifley, Shepherd, and Sparksville, in five transactions. Two of the transactions were the sale of small portions, of .31 acre at Shepherd and .54 at Sparksville, to the Adair County Water District (ACWD). The other three transactions involved the sale of the each of schools and approximately seven acres each.
