Sinclair expects PRIDE to authorize $300,000 for Adair Sewers

In a private press conference for ColumbiaMagazine.com prior to last night's Adair Fiscal Court meeting, the solid waste czar for Adair County and member of the PRIDE board of directors, A.L. Sinclair, said that he expected PRIDE to approve a $300,000 grant to the City of Columbia for sewer expansion in Greenhills at its meeting today, Wednesday, October 11, 2006.

The Greenhills area is expected to be annexed into the City prior to the construction of the sewers.

City Utilities Commissioner Jim Williams said at the last Columbia Utilities Commission that the total grants Mayor Patrick R. Bell has been able to amass may permit sewer construction in the Mullinix Subdivision, which is located between Greenhills Road and Russell Creek and is closest to the City of Columbia.
