The class is free and open to the public. RSVP is requested to the Extension Office by calling (270) 384-2317. We look forward to seeing you!

Secretary Gray suspends restrictions on feed/poultry

From Chuck Wolfe

Frankfort, KY - Kentucky Transportation Secretary Jim Gray has signed an official order to temporarily suspend certain restrictions on motor carriers that will be engaged in transporting livestock feed and live poultry.

"Severe winter weather across the nation has caused transportation delays that have contributed to a tightening supply of livestock feed, particularly poultry feed, and live poultry for processing," Secretary Gray said. "This order is to help resolve those distribution and delivery problems."

The order is effective through 12:01 a.m. EST on March 2, 2023. It temporarily relieves commercial drivers from maximum driving times and weigh station stops if transporting feed and live poultry.

Letter: Market Day Held by ACHS JR Thompson

Troy Grider, Member ACS Board of Education, writes:
I am so proud of Mr. Thompson and his teaching efforts and abilities to provide a solid education in business to our high school kids. This adds much value to our kids' lives and positively impacts their future. This also gives a huge boost of confidence to them that they need so much in this day and time. He truly goes above and beyond, and the successes are shown through his students.

In fact, I have been able to see first hand the results of these efforts, in addition to observing as a school board member, as my oldest son is one of his students. He absolutely loves Mr. Thompson along with the entire class as I understand. Keep up the good work Mr. Thompson!
