COVID - some areas improve but not Adair and surrounding Frankfort, KY - - The Governor said COVID-19 numbers continue to decline. Though the spread of the virus remains high statewide, several counties are no longer in the highest category of disease incidence. He said if Kentucky's COVID-19 numbers continue to decrease, he plans to update guidance by March 14. "The top line on COVID is, cases continue to fall at a good rate. Our positivity rate continues to fall. Hospitalizations, ICU numbers and ventilator usage are all declining. Deaths are still staying fairly high, but we hope deaths will follow the rest of the trends shortly," said Gov. Beshear. "We are now below the delta variant's peak. We are heading in the right direction and at a good pace." 2022-02-22 20:34:41 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Health Care

Previous Chapter: Walk About, Chapter Eleven, or start at the beginning: Walk About: Chapter One. Chapter Twelve By Darlene Franklin-Campbell "Rooms for rent," Pinky said from the front passenger seat as she looked at a paper she'd picked up in a small community near Athens, Georgia. "It says right here to inquire at Jennie's Joyous Junk and gives an address and a phone number. Directions say that it's just off this road." Ace was driving because it was her turn. "Wonder exactly where it is." "Junk," Rosie said, leaning forward, over the seat, "sounds trashy to me!" She laughed at her own pun. Clyde started singing, "Jennie, Jennie, I got your number, 867530..." "You better stick to working on things," Rosie said. "Singing is not your gift." Help Kentucky's agriculture youth by renewing your Ag Tag Op-ed from Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles Frankfort, KY - Every year, when farmers go to renew their farm license plates, or "ag tags," they have the opportunity to make a $10 donation. Last year's unprecedented total meant each group received $243,875.89 to invest back into our communities for youth development and promotional programs. One of the highlights during my time as your commissioner of agriculture came last year in the middle of a pandemic. I was filled with pride when I learned Kentucky farmers voluntarily donated the highest-ever total, $731,627.67, in the history of the Ag Tag Program. Despite the pandemic, Kentucky farmers showed how generous they can be. Article continues... click title or click here to read whole article. 2022-02-22 15:06:28 | Comments | Printable version
