Hershel Hall, 87, Taylor County, KY (1935-2022) Hershel Hall, 87, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Margaret Hall-Rustin and Ray Rustin, was born January 3, 1935, in Rockport, Indiana, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Hershel professed his faith in Christ and was of Christian faith. He served in the United States Marines from 1953-1956. His passion was harness racing, he was a self-made owner, trainer, and driver of harness horses. Hershel loved playing cards especially solitaire. He was a loving dad and grandfather. He united in marriage to Shirley Ann Marriner in 1954, who preceded him in death on April 30, 1970. Hershel is survived by: Two sons: Richard Hall and his wife, Ann, of Newburg, Indiana, and Heith Hall and his wife, Connie, of Campbellsville, Kentucky. Two daughters: Doreen O'Hara and her husband, Joe, of Midland, Texas, and Debra Hall of Grand Falls, Texas. Fifteen grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Besides his parents, Hershel is preceded in death by: One daughter: Donna Lee Taylor. One sister: Donna Jean Jacobs. One brother: Barney Hall. Visitation: Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 4pm-6pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Freehold, New Jersey at a later date.
