CHFS Statement on Kentucky HEALTH Ruling Frankfort, KY - The Kentucky HEALTH program will not begin on April 1, 2019, as previously announced. Beneficiaries will continue to have the same coverage and benefits. Beneficiaries received a Notice of Eligibility, titled "Notice About Your Coverage," in March 2019. Due to this legal decision, the information about Kentucky HEALTH in the Notices of Eligibility is now outdated. LWC Baseball shuffles schedule, hosts Pikeville Thu/Fri By Clayton Barefield The Lindsey Wilson baseball team shuffled its schedule for their weekend Mid-South Conference series against Pikeville (KY) at Egnew Park, Lindsey Wilson Sports Complex, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY. The series was originally slated for a solo game on Friday followed by a Saturday doubleheader. The weather forecast for Saturday forced the games to move up a day. Traffic Advisory: I-65 Northbound Entry Ramp in E-town By Chris Jessie The temporary closure of the entry ramp onto northbound I-65 from westbound Western Kentucky Parkway/Lincoln Parkway (Exit 91 Interchange) will begin Monday, April 1, 2019, at 7amCT/8amET. The closure is necessary for work to take place beneath the bridge over US 31W just north of the interchange. Work should be complete in approximately three weeks. Adair students attend Kentucky United Nations Assembly Mrs. Candice Flatt's students attended the Kentucky United Nations Assembly at the Galt House in Louisville this past weekend. The Kentucky United Nations Assembly (KUNA) is a 3-day experiential learning conference in which students participate directly in simulated international diplomacy. Students at KUNA select a country for their delegation to represent. As Ambassadors sharing the culture and diverse interests of UN member nations from around the world, students represent aspects of their country's culture and traditions with a Global Village Booth in the Global Village, Country Signs & Flags during the Parade of Nations, Cultural Attire from their respective nations, and cultural performances. Marshall Co. teens training wild mustangs By Rachel Keller Collins, Marshall County Tribune-Courier On a farm in the south end of Marshall County, three teenage girls are doing their best to tame and train wild mustangs ahead of a national competition in Lexington in June. Defendant accused of abusing multiple Casey Co. children Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear's office assumed prosecution of the case in June 2018, and worked with numerous local agencies to secure the indictment. By Crystal Staley Frankfort, KY - Attorney General Andy Beshear announced a 29-count indictment of a man previously living in Casey County on charges related to the alleged sexual assault of minors. On March 25, a Casey County grand jury returned the 29-count indictment against Jason Alexander Reusser, 44, on first, second and third-degree rape, first and second degree sodomy, incest, criminal abuse, and intimidating a participant in the legal process in the first degree. The charges are Class A, B, C and D felonies. The case involves the abuse of multiple children. The charges span from August 1, 2007 up to the date of the defendant's arrest, January 19, 2012.
