No. 10 LWC Football falls to No. 5 Bethel 56-30 By Christopher Coombs The No. 10 Lindsey Wilson football team fell to No. 5 Bethel (Tenn.) 56-30 on Saturday afternoon at Blue Raider Stadium in Mid-South Conference Bluegrass division action. The Blue Raiders (5-3, 2-2 MSC) were outgained by Bethel (9-0, 5-0 MSC) 606 yards to LWC's 425 yards as the Wildcats ground game managed to produce 426 yards of their offense. Lindsey Wilson's Trent Mueller recorded eight tackles in the game for the Blue Raider defense as he is now the programs all-time tackles leader with 304 tackles in his career. Mueller passes Michael Brooks who donned the LWC uniform from 2012-15 and recorded 303 career tackles. Jason Carter scored with 1:59 left in regulation play to give the No. 25 Blue Raiders (0-1) a 74-72 lead. LWC women's soccer tops Shawnee State 5-0 By Christopher Coombs The Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team was able to beat Shawnee State (Ohio) 5-0 on senior night after the Blue Raider offense started clicking in the second half as they managed four goals, with three coming just four minutes apart. The Blue Raiders (7-3-2, 5-0-1) amassed 26 shots in the game with 14 of their attempts finding their way on target. The LWC defense was just as good on the night as they limited the Bears (5-10-1, 2-5-0 MSC) two just two shots in the match, as only one made its way on goal. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. On Wednesday 10-24-18, Ofc. Kevin Atwood and Ofc. Charles Greer who are assigned as SROs, initiated a drug investigation on school campus. Officers received information from students that another student had been seen in possession of drugs.
