Forty-five residents from at least six Kentucky counties attended a performance of Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Homeplace on Green River's Shakespeare in the Barn.

The play was set in Texas and Mexico in the time of cowboys instead of Verona and Milan as it was in Shakespeare day. But the dialog was as The Bard of Avon wrote it.

Kentucky Color: Pa Fudge's Family ca. 1932 or '33

The Great Depression had a devastating effect upon the worldwide economy during the 1930's. However, by looking at this picture of my Pa Fudge's family of Toria Kentucky taken around 1932 or `33, it appears that they might have been getting along famously.

I'm no fashion expert but Aunt Isly on the left, seems to be wearing much more than a feed sack dress with bows on the sleeves. Aunt Eula on the right in her usual stylish self, along with Ma Fudge, appeared to be rocking some low heels.

WalletHub2018's Best Big Cities to Live In

Nearby Big Cities rank high. How would you rank: Columbus (Ohio), Lexington, Louisville, Indianapolis and Nashville?
Source: WalletHub

By Adam McCann, Financial Writer

Many Americans prefer to live in rural areas, but far more call cities their homes. Though urban settings are less than 3 percent of the U.S. landmass, they contain around 80 percent of the total U.S. population. There are many factors that make highly-populated areas great to live in. Big cities represent opportunity, economic and otherwise, which appeals to people of all walks of life – especially young professionals seeking advancement in their careers and social lives. Another main draw is easy access to diverse dining and entertainment options that are comparatively scarce in more rural settings. But big-city life requires tradeoffs, too. Higher cost of living is a concern, along with pollution, traffic delays and limited living space. Each major U.S. city has a unique set of issues, to go along with its own character and charm. However, some big cities tackle their problems and emphasize their strengths more efficiently than others. To help readers find the best big city to call home, WalletHub compared the 62 largest U.S. cities based on 56 key indicators of attractiveness. Our data set ranges from the quality of public schools and life expectancy to job opportunities and property taxes.
