Pampered Angus Ranch wishes to be 1st on CAUD Gas

Victoria Pike writes:
Let me be the first to agree to take gas service for all the girls here at the Pampered Angus Ranch directly across from the beautiful Pinewood Development. I filled out the questionnaire mailed out earlier and have inquired on its progress. I'm in the 1800's and would be more than glad to be the first to sign on the dotted line. Can probably even get a hoof print on it if that will help. I'm glad to see this project moving along so quickly. I'm 100% in support of this project and look forward to being a new customer. Just let me know where to come sign. - Victoria Pike

Adair Fiscal Court, 10 Apr 2018 -15 MPH Speed Limit 1st Reading

Two second readings approved in addition to Turkey Trace action. A second reading creates something of a new East Breeding Loop, with by extending Salt Peter Cave Road one-half mile to Independence Ridge Road. Another second reading establishes a bus turnaround on New Concord Road in District 2.
Comments on this so cumbersome and disjointed procedure for changes in speed limits, state mandated to be done one road at a time rather than by class of road in the county, welcome

Another County Road will be safer if and when a second reading is given to a proposed new ordinance for Turkey Trace, CR# 1614, a .268 mile road in District 6. The existing speed limit is 35 mph.

CAUD Natural Gas System in county will happen, GM Stone says

A better way would be for a merger, GM Lenny Stone says, and he said he and his board are still open to a deal with the City of Columbia to buy the existing City Gas Department. But if that isn't possible, Stone has the backing of CAUD's Board of Directors to go move ahead unilaterally. The scope of the first phase is included in this article. Having gas distribution across the county would have a very significant, positive impact on building and business, perhaps more so than any other recruiting effort could yield.

CAUD General Manager Lenny Stone, said in a followup interview on Monday, April 9, 2018, that he's confident CAUD will have a natural gas system in the county, though progress on it becoming a reality has been slower than he'd hoped.
