Church St. shooting victim, Donte Sangster, 28, dies 11 Apr 2018

Donte Sangster, age 28, 2018, who was shot in an incident at 200 Church Street, Columbia, KY on March 28, 2018, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the University of Louisville, according to Columbia Police Chief Jason Cross.



Columbia Police Department reports allege that Sangster, of Lebanon, KY, had threatened Church Street resident 46-year-old Micheal Ed Dial before the shooting incident occurred, and when Sangster went to Dial's home, during the encounter, Sangster was shot in the neck and flown to University of Louisville in critical condition.

According to Police Chief Cross, no charges are expected to be filed; however, the investigation is continuing by CPD Sgt. JR. Murphy who will present the facts to the Commonwealth Attorney and, together, they will make the final determination.
