MCKENZIE, TN - (Sat 28 Oct 2017) - The Lindsey Wilson football team continued its winning ways with a 35-17 victory over Bethel (TN) on Saturday at Wildcat Stadium.

With the victory, the No. 5-ranked Blue Raiders improve to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division play. The 8-0 record matches the best start in program history as the Blue Raiders also started the 2016 season with an 8-0 record. Bethel falls to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in Bluegrass Division play with the loss.

Charles Estes (Charlie) McKinley, Taylor Co., KY (1929-2017)

He professed his faith in Christ in 1939 and became a faithful member of Campbellsville Christian Church where he was a former Elder. He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was a retired salesman for Campbellsville Industries and former plant manager at Parker Kalon. He enjoyed golfing and watching all kinds of sports, especially the Kentucky Wildcats. He was the son of the late Homer McKinley & Lucille Herriford McKinley. He was the widower of Sue Skaggs McKinley, his wife of 52 years. He leaves 14 direct living descendants.

David A. Braun, Russell County, KY (1927-2017)

He was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a resident of Jamestown, KY,at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Marie (Buchert) & George Braun, and the widower of Deloris (Dottie) Braun, and the patriarch of a respected Russell County, KY, family. He leaves 11 direct living descendants.

Adair Band earns 31st in state finals for 31st year in a row!

Going for State Championship No. 22

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (1:31pmCT) The Adair County Marching Band has earned another shot at a KMEA State Marching Band Championship by earning a spot in the finals competition for the 31st year in a row!

Adair will be performing at 6:15pmCT/7:15pmET, at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

The other finalists in Class AA are Estill County, LaRue County, and Garrard County.

Report of gunshots on Pellyton East Road leads to 3 arrests

After receiving reports that home was being fired upon, ACSO investigates, obtains search warrant, seizes a large amount of methamphetamines, pills and marijuana, numerous handguns, shotguns, and rifles as well. Three arrested, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail, facing numerous charges. ACSO Deputy Justin Cross continues investigation, with more charges pending. Joint operation of ACSO and KSP Troopers in area.
Note: Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

On Friday October 27, 2017 the Adair County 911 Center received a call of multiple subjects with guns in a yard on Old Pellyton East Road in Columbia, Kentucky. Sheriff Harrison Moss, Deputy Justin Cross, Chief Deputy Aaron Rainwater and Kentucky State Trooper's from surrounding counties responded to the call.

Adair County Band goes for 22nd State Championship today!!!

Semi-finals at 12pmCT in Elizabethtown HS- then - fingers crossed - to State Finals at Papa John's Stadium, 2800 S Floyd, Louisville, KY to compete for Adair County Marching Band's 22nd State Championship.

Adair County Band will compete today Saturday, October 28, in the KMEA Class AA State Semi-Finals competition, at Elizabethtown High School, 620 N Mulberry Street (campus), Elizabethtown, Kentucky, at 12pmCT/1pmET. The top four scoring bands of the 16 who qualified to compete at the Semi-Finals competition will then travel to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky to compete Saturday evening at the KMEA State Championship Finals competition.

Class AA finalists will be performing between 6pm-6:45pmCT/7pm-7:45pmET. For ticket availability for the finals, contact Susan Pollard at 270-250-3356 for ticket information.

You won't want to miss out! The Adair County High School Marching Band is poised to make history yet again this weekend as they strive to win their 22nd KMEA State Marching Band Championship, which would be the most state championships of any band in the state of Kentucky! The TJ Health Columbia Health Fair includes: Basic Lab Panel, Lipid Panel and PSA testing for males. We will also offer bone density screening, height & weight, blood pressure and body mass index.

Open enrollment begins November 1, 2017

This year's open enrollment, which runs from November 1 until December 15, is what's known as a passive enrollment period. Kentuckians who already have a health plan purchased on the exchange do not have to do anything for their coverage to continue in 2018. Policyholders will have the same plan for 2018 or their coverage will move from their current plan to an available 2018 option that most closely matches their current coverage.
