LWC Football holds at No. 6 in NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll

COLUMBIA, KY - For the fourth week in a row, the Lindsey Wilson football team received a No. 6 ranking in the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, officials from the national office announced on Monday.

The Blue Raiders collected a total of 274 voting points from the panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. Monday's ranking marks the 56th-consecutive poll the Blue Raiders have been ranked dating back to the first week of the 2013 season.

Because of all the available technology, we were able to watch in real time last night at 11pmCT, In the accompanying photo, pictured with Daniel is his wonderful and very supportive wife, Tavon and our two very special grandchildren, Dyllon (3rd grade) and Kaileigh (kindergarten ).

11th Annual Silent City Tour at 5pmCT - this evening

Guests have choice of starting at the library or going directly to the Cemetery. Either way, all are urged to join the discussion and refreshments following the event back at the library. JIM: Fire 27 Sep 1921 altered huge section of Columbia square

In the early hours of Tuesday, September 27, 1921 fire broke out in the back room of Nell & Cheatham's store on the southwest side of Columbia's public square and by the time the last ember winked out hours later, three business houses lay in smoldering ruins -- the Bank of Columbia; the Tola Walker building next door to the bank, which housed Geo. H. Nell & Gordon Carlisle Cheatham's "Right Angle" store; and Hutchison & Patteson's building and stock of goods, located between the Tola Walker building and the Paull Drug Co. business house and separated from the latter by a narrow vacant lot.
