11th Annual Silent City Tour at 5pmCT - this evening

Guests have choice of starting at the library or going directly to the Cemetery. Either way, all are urged to join the discussion and refreshments following the event back at the library. Portrayals this year will include historical figures: Anna Gupton Beard, Minnie Triplett, William Stewart, Nathan B. Kelsay, and Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Miller. A note: Murrell Burton's portrayal of Judge Rollin T. Hurt has been re-scheduled for 2018.

The Adair Genealogical Society will be presenting the 11th annual Silent City Tour 2017 this evening, which, at the moment, is promised almost perfect weather by predictors of such.

Everyone is invited to join us this evening, Monday, October 2, 2017, at 5pmCT, at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, for an evening of historical and genealogical exploration as some of our members portray historical Adair Countians, including: Anna Gupton Beard, Minnie Triplett, William Stewart, Nathan B. Kelsay, and Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Miller.

Laura Gupton, LeeAnn Jessee, Mike Watson, Richard Phelps, and J.D. and Ellen Zornes will be this year's presenters. We will be departing the library at 5pmCT and walking to the Columbia City Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. [If mobility is an issue, you may wish to park behind the Adair County Justice Center, 201 Campbellsville, KY or at the cemetery for ease in access.] Refreshments will be served at the library following the presentations. For more information: call 270-384-2472 and ask for LeeAnn or Ernestine, or stop in at the Adair Library during regular business hours.
