Mr. Charles Arvid Cusumano, Taylor Co., KY (1943-2017) Mr. Cusumano was a Physician's Assistant at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was a well-traveled, educated, creative, and caring man. He was a talented drummer with a passion for "big band" music of the 1920's and 30's, an avid Chicago Bears fan, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a former professor for the University of Kentucky, a founding Fellow of the Cornell Weill PA program, and a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants, and several other professional organizations. He was a native of Newark, New Jersey, and a resident of Campbellsville, KY, at the time of his death. His wife of over 37 years, Sandra Foos Cusumano, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants. She was the daughter of the late Jim & Elsie Nolting Peace. Her husband, Bernie Skaggs, survives. She was the matriarch of a large, respected family. Typically, Upward Bound serves high school students from low-income families or students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.
