He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. Mr. Price was a lifelong farmer and a former member of the United States Army Reserve. He was the son of the late John Price & Mary Ethel Gowen Price. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Mr. Ernest Shreve Price of Summersville, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home in Green County, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Ernest Shreve Price will be conducted at 11amCT, Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens, Hodgenville Road, Summersville, KY, with Bro. Greg Whitlow officiating. Visitation is requested from 4pm-8pmCT, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Colton Clark, Caton Clark, L.P. Clark, Nick Paxton, Terry Paxton, and Doug Hodges.

Honorary pallbearers: Meghan Squires, Michaela Price, and Kimberlyn Price

Mr. Ernest Shreve Price of Summersville, KY, son of the late John Price & Mary Ethel Gowen Price, was born on Monday, October 23, 1944 in Green County and passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home in Summersville, Green County, KY, at the age of 72 years, nine months, and 30 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. Mr. Price was a lifelong farmer and a former member of the United States Army Reserve.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Sundown and L.P. Clark of Green County and Spring Squires of Summersville, KY

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Shane and Tori Price of Dry Ridge, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Colton Clark and Caton Clark both of Green County, KY; Meghan Squires of Summersville, KY; Michaela Price and Kimberlyn Price both of Dry Ridge, KY

  • A sister and brother-in-law: Dean and Billy Barrick of Glasgow, KY

  • A brother: Robert "Rudy" Price of Glasgow, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
