Kody's 5K, major Crusade Event to have events all day

All proceeds go to Crusade for Children - Charlie Crawhorn

Charlie Crawhorn, chair of the Columbia/Adair County Crusade for Children, has announced that the Kody's Day 5K is being expanded this year to an all day event starting at 8amCT, Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Adair County Elementary School, 870 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. In addition to the Fourth Annual Kody's Day 5K, there will be a Crusade pageant, a Car/Bike/Truck Show, and a Vendors Fair.

The schedule for the day is as follows:
  • 07:00amCT, Registration, 5K - Registration is $20 before September 10, 2017, $25 after September 10, 2017
  • 08:00amCT, 5K begins.
  • (Waiting for start time) Kentucky State Festival Preliminary Qualifying Pageant. For ages 0-21
  • 9am-11:00amCT, Registration for Car Show. Behind ACHS gym parking lot. $20 entry fee.
  • 12:00pm-01:00 pmCT, Judging for Car Show. Trophies for Best of show, Top Mopar, Top Ford, Top Chevy, Top Rat Rod, and Top Motorcycle.
Few lives, if any, have ever had the positive impact on the lives of Adair Countians than Kody Pelly, (1990-2013), who died at 23 years of age. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He summed it up himself, with this now-famous quote: "I love the person I am today. Everybody likes to be somebody."
