We labored under the guidance of Mr. and Mrs. Ennis, Mrs. Yokley, Mrs. Cassady, Miss Bartley, Miss Sartin, Mr. Gilley, Ms. Chambers and other dedicated teachers. Charles Marshburn: What is TJ? Using term not fair to all, he says About TJ Health Fair is today, Sat 22 Oct 2016, Charles Marshburn writes TJ? What is this? I am sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know. I believe it is OK to use abreviations when EVERYONE knows their meaning. - Charles MarshburnThanks, Mr. Marshburn - You are right. Not everyone knows. But there is a crossover point where, for the majority, the abbreviation is better known than the full name. "FDR" might be one of those. "CM" as everybody knows, stands for either "Charles Marshburn" or "ColumbiaMagazine.com." In Stanford, KY, more know the "IJ" as Lincoln County's Newspaper than call it by it's full name, "Interior Journal." For sure in Glasgow and surrounding counties more people know "TJ" as the huge hospital enterprise than that it's official name was once "T.J. Samson Hospital." (For sure more people know that than know that there is no "p" in "Samson." We thought maybe there had already been a crossover in Columbia - that since TJ Health acquire Westlake Regional Hospital, that it would be easy to transition to "TJ Health/Columbia." - EW 2016-10-22 05:49:27 | Comments | Printable version
