Traffic Advisory: I65 North and Southbound in LaRue County Update: All lanes are clear Update: First crash involves a fatal crash involving motorcylists and semi; secondary crash involved a semi crash with a responding State Police Cruiser Next earlier article, this story: Traffic Alert: I-65 blocked in both directions near MM 76 By Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY (2:07pmCT, Sun 25 Sep 2016) - A fatal crash involving motorcyclists and a semi has northbound closed near Mile Marker 76 (Upton Exit). Investigation and cleanup is expected to take around four hours. A secondary southbound crash has occurred in the left lane of the divided section where a semi collided with a responding State Police cruiser. The southbound left lane is closed. The southbound right lane is open. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and choose an alternate route for both southbound and northbound well in advance of approaching the Mile Marker 76 vicinity. In the northbound direction all lanes are blocked due to a severe crash. The northbound traffic backup begins near Munfordville at this time. The southbound direction has one lane blocked in the divided construction zone due to a separate crash and traffic backup begins near Sonora.
