By Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY

(2:07pmCT, Sun 25 Sep 2016) - A fatal crash involving motorcyclists and a semi has northbound closed near Mile Marker 76 (Upton Exit). Investigation and cleanup is expected to take around four hours. A secondary southbound crash has occurred in the left lane of the divided section where a semi collided with a responding State Police cruiser. The southbound left lane is closed. The southbound right lane is open.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and choose an alternate route for both southbound and northbound well in advance of approaching the Mile Marker 76 vicinity. Usage of Western Kentucky Parkway and Natcher Parkway is strongly suggested.
