Fall 2015: Walnut harvest assistant - II

2015-11-09 - The back yard - Photo By Linda Waggener.
You know those walnuts I've been gathering? This is a photo of my assistant, the cat who thought he could roll over them and kill two birds with one stone, sort of. Rolling over the walnuts helps get the pesky husks off and gets credit for the cat, and rolling over the walnuts gives one such a good back rub without troubling the human for one. Paired Photo. Mr. Dwight Meyer had awe-inspiring traits of character

By Tim L. Baker

There are many people we come in contact with over our life travels but very few leave a lasting impression that spans over the years. Dwight Lee Meyer, is one of those people. I met Mr. Meyer for the first time in January of 1984.
