Marjorie Ethel Campbell, 83, Adair Co., KY (1931-2015)

She had professed faith in Christ, was a factory worker & homemaker. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded South Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Beckman & Amanda Harvey Gadberry and the widow of Thomas "Tommy" Campbell, She leaves five direct living descendants.

Marjorie Ethel Campbell age 83 years of the Golden Living Center Green Hill Nursing Home in Greensburg, KY, formerly of the Fairplay community passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at 9:43pmCT, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Clergy officiating Bro. Elbert Hadley. Interment in McClister Cemetery, 4138 Fairplay Road, Fairplay, KY.. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Monday, November 9, 2015.



Marjorie Ethel Campbell, 83, Adair Co., KY (1931-2015)

She was born on November 29, 1931 at Fairplay, KY. She was the daughter of the late Beckman & Amanda Harvey Gadberry. She died Friday, November 6, 2015, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and eight days.

She was the widow Robert Thomas "Tommy" Campbell who preceded her in death January 8, 2003. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Gale Campbell in 1970; and four brothers & one sister Forest "Lum" Gadberry, Orval "Dutch Gadberry, Bannard Gadberry, Leon Gadberry and Marie Grant.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Jan Overstreet of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Michael Campbell & wife Penny of Ft. Wayne, IN

  • One sister: Loretta Gadberry of Fairplay, KY

  • One brother: Garlin Gadberry of Fairplay, KY

  • Three great grandchildren: Brittany Michelle Campbell & husband Josh, Fox Michael Campbell and Dakota Dean Campbell

  • Several nieces, nephews & a host of other relatives & friends too numerous to mention
She had professed faith in Christ, was a factory worker & homemaker.
