As Commencement at 7pmCT, Friday, June 5, 2015, gets underway tonight at Adair County High School, culminating a year of solid, positive, transformation, Superintendent Alan W. Reed writes, in this excerpt from his his "Thoughts at Graduation," We celebrate with this year's ACHS seniors, knowing they are likely the best prepared in history for college or careers. Graduation is also time for a reality check. The world's economy, based highly on technology, is changing so rapidly it is very difficult to look beyond 5 years out. This graduating class will constantly be re-tooling and re-inventing themselves throughout their lifetimes . . . Adair County Schools, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY

As we wrap up another school year I would have to say this has been one of our most memorable endings, ever.

A letter to ACES from one proud father

Jeremy Houk writes:
I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for all the kind words spoken about my daughter's performance of "Roar". She is a very talented young lady vocally and it means a lot to see that she is appreciated by others. She really lets her gift shine and is willing to sing for anyone that has the time to listen. It truly gives me a tremendous amount of pleasure to see that others enjoyed her performance as much as I did. Thank you ACES for giving Sierra the opportunity show her gift off and all the love that she has received from it. Sincerely, one proud father, - Jeremy Houk

Who can argue that redevelopment projects like 21c Museum Hotels, National Historic Landmarks like Churchill Downs and Keeneland, local landmarks like the Beecher Hotel in Somerset, or historic Main Streets in communities like Maysville and Paducah do not significantly contribute to the local and state economy? - CRAIG A POTTS
