7-month-old Burkesville, KY baby dies in 1-vehicle crash Westbound 1998 Chevy truck left KY 449 roadway, struck a tree. Baby boy, Jordan Alexander - in child restraint seat but believed not to have been properly restrained - pronounced dead at the scene. 18 month old brother, also a passenger, and the driver, their father, airlifted to University of Louisville for non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor, KSP alleges. Investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are expected. Most importantly, KY 70 runs across the northern territoriesof Casey, Taylor, Green, Metcalfe Counties in the 7-County Area. Through important locales including Yosemite, Liberty, Creston, Mannsville, Acton, Campbellsville, Black Gnat, Greensburg, Sulphur Well (only community along the way with semi-county seat past, famed for its one-time satellite jail, Knob Lick. The lane restriction is being done so Elite Contractors Inc can paint the bridge to protect it from the elements of weather and to prevent the steel from rusting.
