She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of Daviess County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late William Andy Druin and Gertrude Katherine Vaughn Druin and the widow of W.G. Cave. She leaves 10 direct and two step living descendants

Sylvia Louise Druin Cave of Utica, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Andy Druin and Gertrude Katherine Vaughn Druin, was born June 20, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She went to be with the Lord at 10:15 A.M., Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Owensboro. Age: 78

Funeral service is 2pmCT/3pmET, Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Thomas Webb. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitatiion will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Sylvia Louise Druin Cave was the daughter of the late William Andy Druin and Gertrude Katherine Vaughn Druin. She was born June 20, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Owensboro, Daviess County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and eight days.

She professed faith in Christ at a young age and was a long-time member of Campbellsville Baptist Church and was a current member of Buck Creek Baptist Church in Utica, Kentucky.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY.

She united in marriage to W. G. Cave, who preceded her in death December 9, 2009.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four daughters: Dana Caulk of Campbellsville, KY; Kathy Young and husband, Coy of Utica, KY; Tanya Dyson and husband, Rob, and Cherie Knifley and husband, Carl, of Louisville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Jacob Caulk and fiancee', Courtney Smith, Andrea Caulk, Elizabeth Jordan Cobban and husband, Bryan; Tyler Dyson, Kelsey Dyson and Haley Dyson

  • Two step-grandchildren: Elaine Young Metzger and husband, Doran and their sons, Collin and Cameron and Jeremy Young and wife, Jill

  • One brother and two sisters: Noel Barkley "Bob" Druin and wife, Mildred of Campbellsville, KY; Kaye Judd of Greensburg, KY; Marietta Jeffries of Bedford, IN

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Fred Vaughn.
