By Linda Waggener The 24th annual Christmas in Columbia 2014, a program of the Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce, has been dubbed the most successful ever. Hundreds of patrons, event managers and volunteers braved frigid temperatures to make it an unforgettable day. Activities began early at Edgar Troutman Memorial Rotary Breakfast in the Columbia Baptist Church followed by the opening of the Adair Heritage Association Arts & Crafts booths in the Historic Adair County Courthouse. It overflowed into Mackie's Photo Video and into the hallway of the courthouse annex. Mike Watson has busy year publishing There seems to be a resurgence in interest in hard copies, printed material one can touch and feel, especially in Adair County, most recently evidenced by the strong turnout for the Adair Heritage Association's Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, during Christmas in Columbia, Sat 6 Dec 2014. Mike Watson gave a brief update of his year, which saw the publication of six new titles.
