FCA members at Adair County High School prepare OCC boxes

Click on headline for introduction with photo album

By Shamarie Claiborne
News from the Adair County School District

If you still haven't seen Leader in Me in action you should have been at the Adair County High School Cafeteria on Monday evening, November 10, 2014, when members of the Adair County High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, ACHS Boys Basketball, and Lady Indians participated in a packing party benefiting Operation Christmas Child.

It is a perfect example of the Leader in Me program but in all fairness Coach Fudge has been instrumental in providing this opportunity for his students to "give back" for years. By the end of the evening the students had constructed and packed 70 OCC boxes. That now brings the Adair County High School's total to 100 boxes. Coach Fudge and the teams are another great reason to be proud of Adair County Schools.

Life in the Holler & Topside: Mon 10 Nov 2014

Click on headline for photo album from the Holler, Topside on New Concord Road, and Topside, Downtown Columbia, KY

By Shamarie Claiborne

Monday was an incredibly beautiful day. Thousands of photos begged to be taken, these three represented the best, for me.

First, the creek in the Holler: If I live to be 100 I will never get tired of this view..... so grateful the Lord has given me another day to enjoy it.

Secondly Along the way home to The Holler. A beautiful sunset. Nothing in this world is more beautiful than a quiet moment with God and his creations.

An finally, a beautiful view of the Historic Adair County Courthouse, on a day when the blue sky, straight from the camera showed off the clocktower with with the sky a deep blue many of us feel, sometimes, is unique to the icon.

Hope you enjoy.
