Mr. Gilbert Grider, age 63 of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Columbus, Indiana.

Funeral will be 2pmCT, Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, on Thursday, at Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY


He was the son the son of the late John R. Grider and Haidee Blankenship Grider. He was born August 28, 1951, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana, at the age of 63 years, two months, and 14 days.

He worked as a forklift operator for Pepsi Cola.


He is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Brittney Grider (Levi), Indianapolis, IN; Courtney Tippey (Ryan), Beech Grove, IN; and Kimberley Jaussaud, Indianapolis, IN

  • On son: Jay Grider, Indianapolis, IN

  • One brother: Phillip Grider, New Whiteland, IN

  • One sister: Polly Mann, Jamestown, KY
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ilene Grider Pedigo and Mary K. Grider Mathison and brothers Lindon Grider and J.R. Grider.

Expressions of sympathy are to take the form of a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
