Cleopatra came back of own accord. Commits not to run away again

Comments re photo 55593 Help Cleopatra is missing Brothers and sisters miss her too

By Barbara Armitage

Cleo is back! This is the first time she's ever left the farm and we were all worried half to death. Bull Run is not a busy road but it only takes one car . . .

I don't know how far she ran but I just found her sitting by the gate panting and totally exhausted.

I've always enjoyed technology and certainly people too. Today they meshed like peas and carrots to steal from Forrest.

An aside to my friend Jim Whitehurst:
It's us, we interloping Babins who stole your high-speed low drag, super duper, PTO driven, tiller today. Wow! As the accompanying pictures show, it's turned our freshly turned veggie bed from raw clumps into smoothness reminicient of Mamaw's nanner puddin'.
We've only met the Whitehursts a couple of weeks ago, but Jim graciously offered the implement like he'd known us forever.

Guest Editorial: Dumpster discovery points to solvable problem

Editorial re article 68166 Dumpster Diving Some usable stuff behind annex by Joyce Coomer

Joyce's message tells me a number of things.

One is that we have the Shepherd Shop (1221 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY) and Goodwill (212 Dohoney Trace, Holladay Place, Columbia, KY) - places to take good usable items for someone's use. It does not take too much time to make a little extra effort, and it is caring for others.

Sherry Spoon Thanks. To be exact: The angel in Fairplay is on Hwy 768 about a mile from Coomer's Trading Post.. Apologies, I don't know the name of the beautiful shaded cemetery, but maybe a funeral home director can help. The statuary is erected at the gravesite of DorothyJ. Hadley (March 7, 1933-April 9, 2006) and Felix Hadley (October 16, 1924-October 1, 1992.) They were married June 15, 1950. Remember how we used to buy newspapers for one section or page?

Young kids would buy the Courier-Journal for Buzz Sawyer or Mark Trail in the funnies? Traders and pickers would buy, scan the antiques for things to re-sell? Some would just read Stan Delaplane's postcard (similar, in a way, to postcards we get after summer vacations today, or world traveler Doug Beard's travel pictures)? Well some do that for CM Birthdays. There are fascinating details to follow each day, and we know, from the many posts we get every day, that some people open CM and go to the Birthday's First.
