Donnie Curry: Will always remember day JFK was assassinated 'When I got in sight of the base, the flag was at half mast and I knew it was true.' - DC By Donald Curry I was stationed in Munich, Germany with the 508th Military Police at the time and due to the time difference it was the next morning when I heard the news. I was walking to the Post to go on duty, when I met an elderly German man, he crossed the street and there were tears in his eyes as he shook my hand and said "Kennedy, bang, bang, Texas, Kennedy bang, bang, Texas." I asked him if he was telling me President Kennedy was killed in Texas and his answer was "yes, yes." When I got in sight of the base, the flag was at half mast and I knew it was true. - Donald Curry Comments re article 63377 Will always remember day JFK was assassinated 2013-11-20 06:31:11 | Comments | Printable version
