We traveled to Campbellsville Country Club 3064 Hodgenville Road Campbellsville, KY 42718 on August 29, 2013 to play Campbellsville and Taylor County.

Austin Cundiff led the way for the Indians with a 40. Riley Grant shot a 41. Blake Maupin shot a 42. Korey Hundley shot a 44 and Daniel Rarey shot a 49.

The Indians shot a 167. Taylor County shot a 165 and Campbellsville shot a 223. The Indians record is now 7-1.

This is our first loss of the season which may not be a bad thing. The regiona; is held at Campbellsville Country Club so I'm more disappointed that we didn't play the golf course too well, which means more than getting beat. We had an off day, and can't have another one of these days to make our goal. --Chris Lewis

Celeste fig tree thrived at Gadberry, KY; Brown Turkey fig did not

Charles Marshburn writes:
I am not a fig expert! I planted three fig trees - two small Brown Turkey fig trees and one larger Celeste. The Brown Turkey figs died the second year but the Celeste is thriving and has fruit on it this summer. I don't know if the Brown Turkey fig trees were too small or the Celeste, because of its size, thrived and bore fruit. I would bet the size helped get the Celeste through the winter. Good luck! --Charles Marshburn
