Urges leaders to make decisions and make a difference

Victoria Pike writes

I have been told that there are problems with finding some of the owners of the properties that are so unsightly in our community. However, there should be laws dealing with abandoned property and how it can be disposed of or cleaned up. Who pays the tax bill? If not paid, why can't it be sold to cover the cost of demolition and pay the taxes? Why can't someone in authority step up and help clean up our town. Other places do it, so why can't we? I urge our city and county leaders to do what they were elected to do. Make decisions and make a difference. This passing the blame on to the next person has to stop. - Victoria Pike

Says Columbia could match beauty of Campbellsville, Greensburg

Flowers in Greensburg breathtaking; flowers, alley work in Campbellsville are making downtown much more appealing

By Beverly A England

I agree with my fellow citizens Cricket, Shelia, and George with a little effort we can make Columbia just as beautiful as Campbellsville and Greensburg. Lets tear down the houses that are falling down and fix the houses and buildings that can be saved for other generations to enjoy!

I have just been to Greensburg and Campbellsville this week and I am amazed how the two towns have made their squares eye catching!
