Chromebooks for Casey gets accolades from KY Dept of Education Letter from Associate Commissioner Hiren Desai below, to which Superintendent Reed adds, " . . . this is significant. This is huge." About Chromebooks for Casey success, in one week - three weeks ahead of the deadline. The one-week whirlwind community effort organized by Col. William Casey Elementary Principal Patty Jones which resulted in over $17,000 worth of computers coming to her school - Adair County Primary Center next year - got the attention of the Kentucky Department of Education Associate Commissioner Hiren Desai, who sent this letter to the community via CM: I am sending this email to show support for the ongoing efforts of Adair County school district in being fiscally responsible and supporting kids -Superintendent Alan W. Reed, contacted about the letter to CM, "I really appreciate Commissioner Desai taking note of this effort. It means a lot to me to know that the initiative of Col. Casey School, its innovative principal, and this wonderful community gets this kind of positive attention at the highest levels of education." He added, "Make no mistake about it. What Col. Casey School did is significant - this is huge. Implementing this concept gives Adair County an advantage which can make all the difference. By itself, no. But the synergy it produces, I predict, will profoundly change the way we do things and accomplish things and generate the enthusiasm that we have to have to achieve the potential I know every Adair County student possesses. Things previously thought impossible." 2013-04-18 16:49:45 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Education
