Merle Wise, Taylor County, KY (1922-2013) He was the patriarch of a highly regarded Taylor County, KY, family. His marriage to Juanita Sullivan Wise, who survives, endured for over 63 years. He leaves 33 direct living descendants. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for many years. He was a member for many years of the Andy Bowen Masonic Lodge and Gideons International.He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
