Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story Marshall Shelley's offensive rebound and put back with two seconds remaining gave the Adair County Indians (17-11) a 46-44 victory over the Hart County Raiders (10-18) Friday night, February 15, 2013, in the Indians final regular season home game. The Indians were led in scoring by Chance Melton who connected on seven of eight from the floor for 14 points. The rest of the team struggled from the field as the Indians connected on only 16 of 50 field goal tries. After hitting their first three treys the Tribe missed their next 16 tries for a cold 3 of 19 from the three point line. The Indians were 11 of 16 from the charity stripe. Hart County connected on 15 of 28 field goal tries and missed all three of their treys. The Raiders were 14 of 21 from the free throw line. The Raiders out rebounded the Indians 29-26. Rounding out the scoring: Kel Stotts 13, Matt Fudge 9, Marshall Shelley 6, Jake Hixson 2, and Jayden Willis 2. Also seeing action were Tanner Pooler, Colton Back, Ty Bennett, and Zach Hutchison. Stotts and Melton grabbed 5 rebounds each and Fudge handed out five assists.
