Query: Information on Radio Free Gradyville, KY

Does anyone have any information on Radio Free Gradyville (Call letters should have been KSCN, if they had any). It was just a powerful home built transmitter, no tower, but the FCC triangulated found it, and shut it down, after only a few days operation, from what we gathered thus far, most from Bob Moss. Its glory days were sometime during the Cold War, mid 1900s. Send comments using the contact button with this article. - ED WAGGENER.

Pleasant Valley Christian Church has amazing history

Well named church has strong Adair County ties. Writer remembers his most successful revival in 50 years of preaching was at this church
Click on headline for complete story with photo(s)

By Paul Patton

The Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Marion County is not only amazingly beautiful but it has an amazing history.

For one thing, in a span of almost 100 years there were only three pastors of this church. L. C. Young, a well known Adair County native from the Shiloh community preached at Pleasant Valley for over 40 years.

Recently DeLane Pinkston concluded a 40 plus year ministry at Pleasant Valley. Between the long ministries of these two individuals, a Bro. Davis from Louisville served the church.

I have preached several revival meetings at this church and the record still stands that it was here that I witnessed the greatest number of conversions during a revival in my fifty years of preaching.

There were over 30 people who made professions of faith during that revival. The place is well named and it is always a pleasant experience just to drive over and spend some time soaking in the beauty of this peaceful setting. - Paul Patton Comments re photo 48161 Scenic Marion County KY Pleasant Valley Christian Church
