Orma Smith, Russell County, KY (1928-2013) She was the matriarch of a large Russell County, KY family. She leaves 13 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and member of the New Friendship United Baptist Church. Orma Smith, 84, of Maple Street, Russell Springs, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. Funeral service for Orma Smith will be 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the New Friendship United Baptist Church with burial in the New Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs,m KY, and after 8amCT/9amET, Tuesday at the church. The officiating clergy will be Bro. James Robertson. Special will be by the church choir. Active Pallbearers: David Paul Kerr, Adam Kerr, Joshua Douglas Smith, Randy Walters, Bill Kinnaird, and Jeremy Walters. Honorary Pallbearers: Zachary Walters, Ethan Kinnaird. She died Friday, January 11, 2013, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 84 years, 13 days. She was a homemaker and member of the New Friendship United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two children, Calvin Douglas Smith Judy Lou Smith; two sisters, Rebecca Tucker, Beulah Hawkins; three brothers, Garnett "Red" Withers, Arnett Withers, Arnold Withers.
