KSP Post 15 reports details of arrest of Russell Co., KY deputy Russell County Deputy Sheriff incarcerated in Russell County Detention Center, facing numerous charges. Investigation is ongoing, led by Detective Ricky Brooks of KSP Post 15 By Tpr. Jonathan Biven Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY - On Friday, January 4, 2013, Kentucky State Police Post 15 Columbia received a complaint of a burglary. KSP 15 Troopers and Detectives arrived at 144 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY, and spoke with the complainant. After examining the scene, it was discovered that a burglary had occurred and Detective Ricky Brooks also discovered what appeared to be a hazardous waste overpack that was suspected to be evidence in regards to a Russell County Sheriff's Department investigation. It was amazing to see such a majestic bird. I was approximately 500 feet away from the eagle and was able to take quite a few pictures. The camera that I was using is a Nikon P510 with a wide 42x Zoom Nikkor. KSP arrests Russell Co., KY Deputy after burglary investigation By Larry Smith, FM 92.7, the WAVE Russell County Deputy Sheriff Nick Bertram was arrested on Friday evening, by Kentucky State Trooper Martin Wesley of KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, and charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Official Misconduct. Bertram was arrested after an investigation by the KSP into a burglary at a Russell County welding shop. Bertram allegedly tried to sell the materials to Toe-Joe's Pawn Shop on Main Street in Russell Springs. Bertram was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center, Jamestown, KY. Deputy Bertram has been a member of the RCSO for approximately five years and has been popular in the community. The arrest came as a shock to most in Russell County. Indian JVs also win, 38-35 Special CM Sports story The Adair County Indians battled back from an 11 point first half deficit and a nine point second half deficit to come away with a 58-53 victory Friday night, January 4, 2012 at Adair County High School. The win improved the Indians to 9-5 on the season while the Bears dropped to 8-6. Chance Melton paced the Indians with 20 points on nine of 13 shooting from the field and two of three free throws. Matt Fudge tossed in 13 points including 11 fourth quarter points and six straight free throws in the closing seconds. Zachary Hutchison came off the bench and connected on three treys in the second half for nine points.
