Sugarfoot Farms Rescue: Sweet ending to lost dog story

The ad read: "Lost - female Chocolate Lab. Was wearing red collar with rabies tag #4181. Please call 270-378-4521." But with posting a bit behind today, it didn't run on CM. But there's a happy ending. It had looked bad at the time, because this sweetheart of a dog had been promised to a nine year old Rhode Island boy. But it all worked out, thanks to good Samaritan Leah Dennis, the story turned from fret to fortunate find on Wheeler Hill - and leaves Peg Schaeffer in deeper ice cream debt.

There's a story with this girl. I just pulled her from a shelter in TN. The shelter called me and said they needed help placing dogs. She was a stray and was going to be euthanized. So yesterday I met them at the state line and took in Greta, a senior Rat Feist mix, and a Chihuahua mix. They're all good dogs and Greta is a real sweetheart. She stayed by my side all day.

Kentucky Color: From a Distance

It's confusing: With City growing outward, towns are getting closer. With new points of references things seem closer. With roads straightened, points are closer. So WHY has the distance to from Columbia to Campbellsville Increased, Kentucky Highway sign person?

By Billy Joe Fudge, Retired District Forester
Kentucky Division of Forestry

Distance is relative, this I know but I've certainly become more confused than normal lately concerning distance.

Now there are some things I understand perfectly. Sparksville is closer to Columbia as far as miles of road needed to travel to get from one to the other considering that the City Limits have expanded south.
