She was a member of a large, respected Casey County, KY family. She leave 31 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith

Lora Mills passed away Friday October 28, 20011 at Charleston Health Care in Danville, KY. She was 92.

Funeral services will be at 1pmET/12 noon CT, Sunday October 30 , 2011 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Ray Mills officiating. Burial is in Salem Cemetery.Visitation is Saturday from 6pm-9pmCT, at the funeral home.

Oklahoma jail escapee Michael St. Clair found guilty in execution style slaying of Nelson County distillery worker Frank Brady in 1991

Attorney General Jack Conway and his Office of Special Prosecutions today announced the unanimous verdict of death for serial killer Michael St. Clair in the execution-style slaying of Frank Brady in 1991. A Bullitt Circuit Court jury issued its verdict this afternoon after three hours of deliberations.

Bell Marie Keltner, Adair County, KY (1923-2011)

She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded Northwest Adair County, KY family. She leaves 47 direct living descendants. She was the widow of the late Ceoda "Jack" Keltner. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and a member of Tarter's Chapel United Methodist Church

Bell Marie Keltner, 88, formerly of the Cool Springs community of Adair County, KY,, left this life to join her savior on Thursday, October 27, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 1pmCT,. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Herbert Janes and Bro. Carl Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery, 4350 Milltown Road, Columbia, KY, where she will be laid to rest from this journey. Forever at peace. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, October 29, 2011.

Campbellsville University total enrollment passes 3,600 mark

CU has 23rd consecutive semester of record enrollment University's headcount is a record 3,607, including 3,072 undergraduates and 535 graduate students. Put into historical perspective, the total enrollment is almost exactly half the population ALL of Taylor County, KY had, 7,250 in the first census after its founding in 1848. International enrollment also sets record, with more than 300 from other countries. Full time faculty, too, is at record high - 134.

Suzanne Wells Miell was given a Distinguished Alumnus Award by Centre College, Danville, KY, at its Alumni Recognition Ceremony during the College Homecoming on Saturday, October, 22, 2011.

Miell is a native of Columbia, KY and a graduate of Adair County High School. She is the daughter of Ruth and David Wells of Columbia.

The award is to honor alumni who have given outstanding service to Centre College and/or humankind.

Little Papillon found near Highland Raku reunited with owner.

Peg Schaeffer sends the good news this morning two days after she posted the photo of the precious little Papillon found running up and down the road on Burkesville Road near Highland Raku.
