She was a homemaker and a member of Coral Hill Church of Christ

Aileen Bastin age 85 of Glasgow died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Sky Rehab in Bowling Green.

Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT, Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow. Visitation will be 1pm-8pmCT, Saturday, October 29, 2011, and after amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Franklin Scott and Abbie Short Scott.

She was a homemaker and member of the Coral Hill Church of Christ.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Elby Clyde Kerr of Edmonton and James Russell (Karen) Bastin of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Paul Edward Scott of Mooresville, Indiana

  • One sister: Jewel D. Searcy of Glasgow, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Robert Clyde Kerr of Arizona; Tammy Sue (Ken) Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana; Tina Lynn (Brad) Splittorff of Chandler, Indiana, and Bobbie Sue (Brad) Penick of Edmonton, KY

  • Five great grandchildren: Dustin Kerr, Kailee Kerr, Maddix Coulter, Noah Coulter and Kelsey Splittorff

  • Two step great grandchildren: Josh and Austin Penick

  • Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Elby Myrl Kerr and Luther Bastin, and by one sister Alean Kerr.
