M.E. Lewis downright joyous about Friday finds at Farmers Market It's a busy place, even at 6:10amCT, she says. As early as she was, all the blackberries were already sold! She bought bread for church coffee shop By M.E. Lewis I arrived at the farmers market around 6:10amCT this morning and they were very busy. All the blackberries were gone but I did get three pints of raspberries. You have to be there early, early for the berries. I bought broccoli, lemon cucumber, celery, and fresh made white bread. The bread will be used for French Toast Sunday morning at Word of Life Family Church coffee shop. (The Gathering Place) I'm telling you people that if you aren't taking advantage of the Farmers Market you are missing out. One man had sweet corn. The green beans are looking good and there is squash a plenty. Some have salad greens. Some have mustard greens and Kale. They have small potatoes and large potatoes. They have good cabbage: Large heads and Small. The next day for the Farmers' Market is Tuesday July 5th.See y-all there in the cool of the morning. -Maury 2010-07-02 10:25:28 | Comments | Printable version

Larry Smith reminds everyone of great July 4th weather, birthdays Larry Smith called from 92.7 The WAVE to say what a beautiful day it is today. "I wish I had walked all 25 miles to the station this morning. It is such a pretty day," he said. "What a perfect day to be alive in A-Dair County, Kentucky for the start of the July 4th holiday weekend!" "What a day to celebrate A.L. Sinclair's Birthday" he added. "He's 71 today," Smith said, and every one of those years has been such a blessing to Adair County."Tell everybody about his birthday today. I'm telling them on The WAVE," and he ordered the photo, "The man who cleaned up Adair County," be posted, again, on the front page, and added, "Don't forget. This is big.""It's your wife's birthday," he said. "You ought to already know that. Get her something nice." he said. The man really has more to do, running two radio stations, than to boss humble internet editors around. A lot of people would like to see him walk to the station one morning. Bet he'd raise a lot of money for the Historic Courthouse Preservation if he ever did. We already know of a $1 pledge a mile, on that day. $25.
