Adair County was well represented at the 81st Kentucky State FFA Convention in Rupp Arena, with recognition for Sarah Thompson. Writer sends thanks to Mr. Hancock and Mr. Harvey for outstanding their time and excellent teaching

By Dr. Gary Lane
Received June 11, 2010

I just returned from the 81st State FFA Convention in Rupp Arena. If you ever have any doubts about where good leadership might originate from the next generation, you should go to a State FFA Convention.

I have attended national conventions and meetings all over the U.S. in the last 40+ years and never have I seen so much done in a short time, with precision and professionalism as at this convention session.

Success is directly relative to preparation factor

About: ACMS Future Problem Solvers win 3rd place in the World

By Billy Joe Fudge

I think Ms. Liebeck has hit the nail on the head. Her ardent rendition of this most amazing accomplishment comes from the inside and sheds the light of reality upon this scholastic achievement.

That light reveals to us that it is not the size of the school, the name over the door, or the area of the country from whence you come that determines success. Success is directly relative to the preparation factor.

Congratulations to you phenomenal young people on your extraordinary achievements; to you, Mr. Reliford, for your hard work in leading and preparing this group of achievers; to you, families and friends, for fostering a spirit of achievement; to our schools, for providing an atmosphere conducive to achievement; and to our community for supporting efforts toward achievement. -Billy Joe Fudge
