Bell Poem is a tribute to the individuals who carried out enormous task of placing Blue Bird Houses all miles of roadside Barbara Armitage Here's a poem written by Mayor Pat Bell that might be good for the GBBC. He has given his permission for us to use it as part of the GBBC and to print in Columbia Magazine. On one of his many trips around Kentucky Mayor Bell noticed the many Blue Bird houses lining our roadways. Adair County Fiscal Court meeting Feb. 10, 2009 In last night's meeting
By Ed Waggener The Adair County Fiscal Court turned down, on a vote of 4-2, Magistrate Wid Harris' proposal to give $6,000 toward the expenses of the Adair County Marching Band's trip to the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Harris made the proposal after Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton had recommended the action and for the first time in her tenure, moved that the court give $6,000 to the band, with $3,000 coming out of the FY 2008-09 budget, and $3,000 coming from the 2009-2010 budget, after. Her motion received a second by Magistrate Wid Harris (2).
