Columbia-Adair Co. Appreciation Day Sunday at LWC Citizens of C-AC get free admission to the LWC Men's Basketball team plays Ohio State University/Manfield at Biggers Sports Center By Duane Bonifer COLUMBIA, KY --Lindsey Wilson College will show its appreciation to the citizens of Columbia-Adair County with an opportunity they can't pass up: free admission to Sunday's men's basketball game. Lindsey Wilson will hold Columbia-Adair County Appreciation Day on Sunday, February 15, 2009 when theLWCmen's basketball team playsOhio State University-Mansfield atBiggersSports Center. The game begins at 2:00pmCT. All Columbia-Adair County residents who show a valid driver's license will be admitted to the game for free. "A big reason for this college's continued success is because of the incredible level of support we have received from the citizens of Columbia-Adair County," said Lindsey Wilson President William T.LuckeyJr. "I know of no other college in America that receives such strong strong of support from its local community as Lindsey Wilson receives from its community." This year, more than 300 Columbia-Adair County residents are enrolled at Lindsey Wilson. The students have received a combined $1.5 million in financial aid from federal and state sources, as well as Lindsey Wilson. "Lindsey Wilson has a long history of keeping a college education affordable for local citizens, and we are pleased that so many Columbia-Adair County residents continue to make Lindsey Wilson their first option in higher education,"Luckeysaid. Sunday's game marks fourth game in a five-gamehomestandfor theLWCmen's basketball team. On Tuesday night, the Blue Raiders upset No. 2-ranked Mountain State (WV) University 83-69. The Blue Raiders play University of theCumberlands(KY) on Saturday afternoon in a women's-men's doubleheader. Thehomestandends on Thursday, Feb. 19, with a women'-men's doubleheader againstCampbellsville(KY) University. The Blue Raiders' final home game of the season is on Feb. 28 against St. Catharine (KY) College.
