Big Rig Trucker proud of Columbia, new Supercenter

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I finally was able to make my first trip to the new Wal-Mart. I was very impressed with the layout at the new store. I did have a conversation with the manager of the meat department, though. In this area, pork steaks and beef are sliced thin. I like my grilling meats to be thick! He assured me that this will be available for me in the future.

I was also very proud to see so many Adair Countians working at the new Supercenter. I believe that this gives our store that home appeal. I am very proud to be from Columbia! Okay, Chicago is my second home.

Since we have been giving our local restaurants recommendations, we may someday have a smorgasbord of delicacies to graze upon, and maybe even be able to wash it down with an ice-cold beer!

The funds will be used to improve water service in Liberty and the system's service area..

Letter: Reader thinks some candy may be Melamine-tainted

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

This morning I recieved an email regarding the candy made in China that may be tainted with Malamine from the milk. Many children in China have died and have health problems from this milk and we don't need it.

It is feared that a lot of the candy that is made in China is being sold here is also at risk for this. Other countries have removed it but not the USA. I will send the email to any one that wants it. Just email me at theeanswer.kerr@gmail.com and I will send it to you. I feel that we must be informed and keep our children safe even if it means we will have to do something different this Halloween. I love candy too, but I won't be giving out any this year. Just look it up on line or write and I will send this to you.
