Rain turns Lindsey Wilson breast cancer march into a rally

The arrival of rain on Wednesday forced Lindsey Wilson College to turn its annual Breast Cancer Awareness March into a rally to raise awareness about the disease. Sponsored by the colleges Catherine Wilson Center, a march from campus to downtown Columbia was planned.

Kosair Charities roadblock today

The Columbia Mark Twain Chapter of Kosair Charities will be having a road block today, Friday, October 10, 2008, from 3:00 to 6:00pm near the Jamestown Street and Hurt Streets intersection by Wal-Mart. Attorney General Jack Conway to speak at LWC

  • Parking your car with a Trunk of Treats in the ColumbiaUnited Methodist Church parking lot (with trunks open to Burkesville Street)

  • Dressing to play the part!!

  • Creatively decorating your Trunk or Table

  • Bringing Treats that are Kid-Friendly and Kid-Safe(no home-made goods or unwrapped items)

LWC Volleyball defeats Indiana University SE, 3-1 at Biggers

Team plays in Papa John's Invitational this afternoon

The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team snapped its two game losing streak with a 3-1 win over Indiana University (Ind.) Southeast on Thursday night at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders now stand at 15-5 on the season and 5-2 at home with the 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-13 win.

    "Adair County Artists," is the new exhibit in the Lurcretia C. Begley Art Gallery, The exhibit runs through October 29, 2006. It features works by seven Adair County artists: R.D. Fishback, Lloyd French, Sue Henningsen, Ron Johnson, Katie Kerr, Cora Renfro and David Waltz. The Begley Gallery is located in the W.W. Slider Humanities Center.     Old Fashioned Farm Festival at The Homeplace

    The Homeplace on Green River, an historical demonstration farm and education center, will host an old-fashioned Farm Festival on Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11, 2008. The 220-acre farm is located on Kentucky Highway 55 and Tebbs Bend Road, about half-way between Campbellsville and Columbia, KY.
