Feedback: Retaining wall is part of Paint the Town grant

See photo, "Downtown beautification project underway"

Ed,

Thanks for the mention and photo of the wall behind Walker Realty being rebuilt. This area is known by some as the "Dr. Pepper Parking Lot." The wall was ugly and about to collapse. Repairing this wall and making additional improvements to the lot is being done by the city workers under auspices of Mayor Pat Bell to match a "Paint the Town" grant from TOURSEKY.

By Chris Bennett, owner, Columbia Music Center

In 1995, I met a special person at Wal-Mart in Columbia. He was an older retired gentleman who primarily sold guns in the sporting goods department. I love guns and enjoy talking to any one who has "lived history", so we hit it off from the start. The man's name was Roy Wariner.
