Downtown beautification project underway

If Orby & Lucy don't have it, you probably don't need it

2008-09-19 - Wal-Mart Shopping Center, Jamestown ST, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
LUCY & ORBY YARBERRY even have can goods now. The familiar couple braved the heat all year bringing farm fresh produce to their stand usually found at the Wal-Mart Parking lot on Jamestown Street. Crops have been good all year, Orby said, but they've been really good lately. At this time of the year, they have green and red tomatoes, sweet and Irish potatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, apples, cymelins, and water melon and cantaloupe. The home packed canned goods he sells include all kinds of relishes, pickles, jellies and jams. The beautiful weather and pleasant breeze on top of Jamestown Hill has made business a pleasure for sellers and buyers alike.
