Reclaiming Burkesville Street would greatly benefit entire town

About: Reclaiming Burkesville Street
Columbia could be like a Norman Rockwell painting again!

By Beverly Merritt

What a wonderful idea that Alice Wheeler has suggested. I agree 100% that her idea of "reclaiming' Burkesville Street would greatly benefit the entire community aesthetically and from a safety standpoint.

Clem Haskins is very special person

    By Jonathan Harden

I was recently reading the story of Clem Haskins and his coaching days in Minnesota when I felt moved to tell what a special person this man is.

When I was in Adair County FFA at Adair County High School I had the opportunity to meet him. The first time I met him I went to look at some cattle he had advertised to sell. It was on a Sunday afternoon. I talked with him awhile and bought the cows the next day. Never once did I realize that day would be a friendship that I discovered with him that would last forever.
