Clem Haskins is very special person By Jonathan Harden I was recently reading the story of Clem Haskins and his coaching days in Minnesota when I felt moved to tell what a special person this man is. When I was in Adair County FFA at Adair County High School I had the opportunity to meet him. The first time I met him I went to look at some cattle he had advertised to sell. It was on a Sunday afternoon. I talked with him awhile and bought the cows the next day. Never once did I realize that day would be a friendship that I discovered with him that would last forever. In the last 5 years I must say this man has become one person that I feel cares so deeply about everyone. He is always willing to help. On numerous occasions I have ask him for advice and help when he gladly gave it to me. There have been times that I have not asked, and he gladly did something for me. Last year when it was dry and the hay was scarce he called me to make sure I had some hay. There he was again thinking about someone else. I can honestly say this man cares for others more than anyone I have ever met. I feel so privileged to be acquainted with him. I cherish his friendship, and if you have never had the opportunity to get to know Clem Haskins you sure do not know what you are missing. He sure has made a big impact on me.
